Lily of the Field is a small plant nursery that grows specifically for the Flagstaff area. Our goal is to provide plants that are not available in the standard nursery trade and are well suited for our high elevation, low water environment. The plants we select are native and heirloom varieties, often food producing or medicinal, that will thrive in Flagstaff gardens and landscapes. We want to set gardeners up for success in this challenging climate.
Growing Practices:
We grow our plants in passive solar greenhouses, they are watered mainly with roof catch rainwater. Approximately 80% of our containers are recycled from local gardeners or landscaping companies. We accept used pots at the Flagstaff Community Market and Pine Forest Charter School during sale hours.
